Home in Edmonton

After some travelling, I finally got back home to Edmonton, my parents’ new location. Travelling was a bit of a pain, as I had to catch the 2 AM bus from Kingston to Pearson Intl. Airport, to arrive at around 5:30 AM to catch my 7:15 AM flight to Edmonton. I didn’t get much sleep that day (got up around 7:30 AM), and only got about four hrs of sleep – two on the bus, and two on the plane.

But, I witnessed a sunrise for the first time in years while waiting in the airport terminal! I wish I could’ve taken a picture, but didn’t want to look suspicious or anything in these post-9/11 times… (I was really just too tired to care at the time)

The flight was also nice; Westjet was a good carrier and their planes included personal satellite TV for every seat; you just use headphones to get the sound. I hadn’t flown in years but the experience was fun.

Got into Edmonton around 9:30 AM local time, feeling extremely tired and possibly jet-lagged as well. I was very impressed with the new house; it looks great, is a tad bigger than the old house but designed a lot better. I decided to stay up and went with my family to West Edmonton Mall (the largest mall in North America), and bought a few things I’d needed. By around 8 PM I was feeling very tired – I’d only gotten 4-5 hrs of sleep over the past 36 hrs, and if anything, that ratio is usually reversed ๐Ÿ˜‰

I finally crashed and just woke up, around 7 this morning – feeling a lot better now!
